I Fielding a Team

• A game is played with 2 teams, each with 8 players

II The Game

• A game consists of 1 batting and 1 bowling innings per team.
• Each innings consists of 16 six-ball overs.
• Every player must bowl 2 overs. Under arm bowling is not allowed.
• A bowler cannot bowl 2 consecutive overs. The fielding side will be penalized 5 runs for each illegal over.
• Each innings is divided into 4 sections of 4 overs each.
• Teams bat in pairs, with each pair batting for 4 overs.
• Batsmen continue to bat for 4 overs, whether they are dismissed or not. When a player is dismissed, 5 runs are deducted from their team's score.
• At the completion of each over, batsmen must swap ends.
• No batsman will be allowed to have a runner whatever the circumstances.
• A team cannot declare an innings closed.
• The team compiling the higher number of runs is the winner of the game.
• Teams will be penalized 5 runs or multiples of 5 runs for misconduct, unreasonable arguments causing delays, etc. The decision of the umpire will be final in this aspect.
• If there is a tie in a match, the side with lesser number of dismissals will be declared winner. If the dismissals are same, then spin of coin will decide the winner.
• If 2 teams in a group have same number of points at the end of round robin stage, the team with maximum wins will qualify. If the wins are same, then the winner of the match between 2 tied teams will qualify to the next round. If that match is also tied, then spin of coin will decide the qualifier.

III Uniforms

• During the tournament teams must be dressed only in clothes prescribed by the organizers.
• Only rubber soled / rubber studded sports shoes that will not mark the court are allowed. No player will be allowed to play with leather-soled shoes or with spikes.

IV Field Placement

• The court is divided in to 2 halves. The dividing line being the non-strikers running crease. No more than 4 fielders may be in either half of the court.
• . If any deviation occurs, the umpire will call NO BALL as soon as the bowler releases the ball.

V - Scoring Runs

• When both batsmen cross between the batting crease and the non-striker's crease, and touch the ground behind either crease with their bat or body one run is scored. Bonus runs are scored if the batsman hits the ball onto the nets.
• The following bonus runs will apply when the batsman hits the ball into the perimeter net:

  The scoring zone that the ball strikes first will count, with the exception of a ball striking Zone B or C and rebounding onto Zone D. The top net (Zone A) is neutral (it scores no runs). A ball hit via the top net onto Zone D net on the full still scores 6 bonus runs.
• When a fielder causes an overthrow, physical runs will be scored when the batsmen cross between the batting crease and the non-striker's crease and make good their ground.
• The batting team will be credited with 2 runs when the umpire calls a delivery NO BALL or WIDE BALL. If the batsman plays a NO BALL into a scoring zone, the zone score and the physical runs scored will be added to the 2 runs given for the No Ball. Any physical run made off a WIDE BALL will be added to the 2 runs given for the Wide Ball. No additional ball will be bowled for either a wide or a no-ball except in the 16th over of the innings.
• A ball deflected by a fielder into the scoring zone after the ball has been hit by the striker's bat will score the relevant zone score.
• In the 16th over of each innings all no-balls and wide-balls will have to be re-bowled.
